Suddenly, some of the Miranda users are not aware that there is a wonderful MetaContacts plugin that allows you to combine different contacts (including various protocols) into one - there will be one in the contact list instead of several.
So if I used to have entries in the contact list:
Vasya (UIN: 123456)
Vasya (vasya.pupkin@gmail.com)
Vasya (vpupkin@hotmail.com)
, now there is only one left: Vasya - when you click on the contact, the window opens protocol selected by default (customizable), you can choose on the fly to which address to send a message. The message window is one - you can see the entire history of correspondence, regardless of which address the message was sent to.
This plugin is useful precisely in cases where several protocols are used, because in the light of recent events my contact list has spread a little - many people switch to alternative ICQ solutions not immediately, but gradually.
