How to remove unnecessary items in active standby on Nokia N95
On Nokia N95 (and also on others from this family), there were a lot of items in the active standby mode, after the 20th firmware, the completely unnecessary “ Search the Internet” was added, and after the 30th firmware , again the unnecessary “Exchange in The Internet. "
In the end, it all looks something like this:

More than half the screen is clogged with all sorts of nonsense.
How to fix?
If you google it, you can find a bunch of recipes like this: how to change what active standby shows . The bottom line is climbing a HEX editor on a specific file. But really hunting to climb? Of course not.
I had to rummage yet. And ran into: Standby - Script to easily change Active Standby Item Python (Hacked Only) .
The script can be downloaded from there, after registering. I reloaded to myself, so that without any registration: ActiveStandby.zip . I corrected it still, in the original it demanded the presence of CapsOff for access to system files, and we have the same opportunity in SecMan from QuickHackKit (see the post in the same blog on the hub: Alphabet of the beginning Symbian OS user ).
Naturally, you need Python for S60. If you don’t have it yet, then download: PyS60 (or you can from the same post - there is a link to deposit files there).
Now what are we doing. First, turn off the protection of system directories in SecMan:

Turn off the active standby mode (Tools - Settings - General - My style - Standby mode - Active standby mode).
Then, using the free Y-Browser (or paidhacked X-Plore) - the standard file manager does not work - copy the file
We run our Standby.py script and see that everything is turned on:

By points:
Now turn off everything that you do not need (via Functions with the left button). I did it for myself as follows:

We do Functions - Save file.
Now we turn on the active standby mode (Tools - Settings - General - My style - Standby mode - Actual standby mode).
Voila! As we now have a nice and just the right:
.
Do not forget to turn back on the protection of system files in SecMan, otherwise some applications, supposedly (I have not yet met, but you never know), do not work without this mode.
PS. I waited for karma for posting and transferred from my cozy blog, it seems that I carefully replaced all relative links with absolute ones, but you never mind, if anything, kick, please ...
