Companies that will not be with us in 2010

    Direction prediction

ChannelInsider and eWeek employees have compiled a list of high-tech companies that some people think will go bankrupt, be bought, or simply forgotten during 2009. The most interesting point in all these “bare predictions” is that they were not composed by journalists and portal editors, but by employees of large IT companies, mainly representatives of software and hardware sales (who not only install, but also often do technical support )

The list, however, is not as far from the truth as some would like. And if I argue with the decline of such giants as AMD, Citrix and SUN until I lose consciousness, then Symantec and CA look much more attractive acquisitions. Although readers' forecasts rarely show the likelihood of a company selling above 20%, an analysis of each company reveals a layer of a bit more information that the board of the board of large giants (like Microsoft) can use during the next drop in the value of someone’s stock.
