The News Media Publishing House (publishes the Life and Your Day newspapers) enters the IT outsourcing market. The company is building a data center cost $ 35-40 million, which was the main client of the Internet portal of Mail.ru . The mail portal has already rented 50 racks, and in total it is going to rent about 250 racks in a year and a half (this is a quarter of all data center capacities).

The opening of the Hosters data center will take place on January 15, when the first floor of the two-story building will be commissioned, and the work will be completed in late 2010. The total area of the data center will be 2 thousand square meters. m, which will house 1000 server racks (for 25-30 thousand servers), the bandwidth of the communication channel will be 50 Gb / s.
For the owners of the publishing house, Ashot and Aram Gabrelyanov, the opening of a data center is access to a very promising market, the volume of which this year will be $ 150 million, i.e. + 50% by 2007 (corporate data centers are not taken into account in this assessment, which are created for themselves, that is, do not bring direct income). Demand for data center services in Moscow is huge, according to experts, demand is three times higher than supply, places are bought back at the construction stage.
