The usability approach and its comparison with character techniques

As previously reported , on December 18, 2008 at 19:00, a round table of RusCHI members "An Active Usability Approach and Its Comparison with Character Techniques" was held in the 1C conference room. The participants in the round table discussed and compared two approaches: the theory of activity (the school of Soviet psychology founded by A.N. Leontyev and S.L. Rubinstein) and the method of characters (developed by the American Alan Cooper), recalled the Marxist roots of the theory of activity and the role of interaction design in development technology.

Are you familiar with the theory of activity and the method of characters? Do you apply these approaches in the development of your projects and products?
