It's time to introduce the new geo-service Terevy to the habrasociety .
There have been plenty of geo-projects lately, so we had to have good reasons to do our own thing =)
What needs would the user want to solve using a map site? We answered this question this way:
1) to see what is next to interesting things - for example, the infrastructure of the area where the new office is located. Although sometimes you can learn a lot of new and interesting information about the area in which you have been living for 10 years =)
2) find a place for a specific purpose and next - where to go have fun, where to buy food. It is also interesting to see other people's opinions on places.
3) add the visited place to bookmarks directly from the browser, sometimes vote for it or drop a couple of lines of feedback.
So there was terevy - a geo-service, a map of interesting places with the ability to add places to bookmarks and rate them.
We recently added a social component to the service, and now you can see the best places in Moscow and St. Petersburg from the point of view of users.
I know that you will immediately have questions, how do we differ from mirtesen.ru, aroundme.ru and others like them. I answer: they are closed social networks, where interaction between users occupies a very important place. We are just a service) To understand the conceptual difference between them and us, just use it.
