The Open Handset Alliance fits another 14 companies - and what!

    Open Handset Alliance New MembersThe Open Handset Alliance, initiated by Google to support the development and distribution of the Android mobile OS and smartphones with it, has just announced that the alliance has included 14 more large global companies, among which there are such familiar names as Sony Ericsson, ASUS and garmin. Here's a complete list of newcomers:

    AKM Semiconductor Inc., ARM, ASUSTek Computer Inc., Atheros Communications, Borqs, Ericsson, Garmin International Inc., Huawei Technologies, Omron Software Co. Ltd, Softbank Mobile Corporation, Sony Ericsson, Teleca AB, Toshiba Corporation and Vodafone.

    And let not all the remaining companies in the world that occupy key positions in the market for the production of iron and smartphones, OHAalready got close damn close to becoming the strongest cartel of software manufacturers, components and mobile operators.
    In terms of purchasing potential, ASUS, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and Vodafone are the alliance’s most successful acquisitions.

    Watch out, Nokia and Apple.
