We are doing a project that is designed to help such customers find the necessary information.
The idea of thematic search engines is not new, but we saw that in this niche you can make an interesting and very useful project, which now is not in this niche. It is also an opportunity for us to train and improve our level in search technologies. Still work in this niche allows you to look at search engine options in a different way, to solve specialized tasks in the field of search and analysis of textual information that do not and will not be solved by search engines of a general orientation.
What does our project do, and how does it differ from others?
We index only specialized sites publishing technology reviews. The most famous such sites - it 3dnews.ru , THG.ru , ixbt , zoom.cnews.rubut there are many others. We index these sites with a special spider that downloads only reviews, highlights the dates of publication of reviews, can index multi-page reviews by gluing several web pages into one review, and can specify a link to the print version of the review. Having collected all this information, our service provides the ability to search among these sites, which excludes the possibility of search spam in the system. Moreover, the relevance of the issue with us depends on the date of publication of the review and on its size, the number of photos and video materials in the review, etc., which helps to improve the issuance. Also, after the search, the user can filter the results by the most important attributes for him (the novelty of the review, its volume, the presence of photos, etc.).
We differ from regular search engines in a more uniform and relevant issue, for example, we choose a 22-inch monitor and want to read what we better choose.
