Labs earned in Google Apps mail

Great news for all who use mail from Google Apps. Until recently, we were deprived of the opportunity to use the experimental features that appeared in the usual GMail. Recently, happiness has come.

Google Labs allows you to use experimental development and new features in the mail, including an IMAP extension to hide selected folders.

Previously, there was an incomprehensible situation: some users of Google Apps Labs turned on, some did not, I didn’t.

The guys from Google wrote that there really is a problem and they are working on it. They promised to solve in 2 or 3 weeks by rewriting the code responsible for Labs.

The other day, apparently, they updated the code, and Labs became available for the interface onEnglish language.

And so, what you need to do to enable Labs:

• Go to www.google.com/a/domain.com
• Tab “Domain Settings”
• Check the checkboxes “Automatically add new Google service” and “Turn on new features” in the New Services and Features section.
• For reliability, enable the Russian language
• Save
• Go to mail.google.com/a/domain.com/#settings and enable the English language interface English (US)
• Enable required features
• You can turn on the Russian language again, the features will remain, the Labs tab will disappear

I have these jackdaws in the domain settings have been checked for a long time, so I just had to change the language and voila! The coveted Tab Labs has appeared!

According to New Services and Features, features must be applied within 24 hours.
