Havana train station through the eyes of a tourist

    Recently, I managed to visit the island of freedom. Of course, I did not ignore the railways, but I didn’t manage to ride them, for various reasons. According to travel.ru : “Rail transportation in Cuba is not very reliable, but affordable: a ticket for the 12-hour Havana-Santiago train costs 30 pesos (across the country, for mere pennies). Intercity trains are usually crowded, all tickets are sold in advance. In addition, according to local residents, they often break down along the way. ” I think this wording is enough to roughly understand the level of railways on the island, but my cursory photo report will help to slightly open them. I would not want to dwell on technical models, places of registration and years of release. Simply - through the eyes of an eyewitness.



    The station building is visible from afar, as far as the eye can see in the narrow streets. It can be seen with a naked eye that it was not Cubans who built it (like all other complex buildings, from the point of view of architecture)
