Philips smart tablet
Philips has announced the completion of the project “smart pill” (iPill, Intelligent Pill) and the release of its prototype. A smart pill is a miniature device equipped with a microprocessor, battery, radio, pump and medicine container. She, if taken, can “dump” the medicine exactly where it is needed.

According to Philips, their smart pill is able to measure the acidity of the environment and, based on the information received and analyzed, determines where it is located in the digestive tract. Thus, the medicine in the container is dumped exactly where it is needed.
Actually, an amateurish (not all of us are doctors, huh?) Question arises, why is this necessary? But the fact is that for the treatment of many diseases, one of the conditions is the delivery of a dose of the drug to a precisely calibrated place. Usually this is achieved by taking significantly higher than the desired dose of the drug. And this is by no means great: side effects from a large number of drugs have not benefited anyone.
So such an iPill can be more than useful. By the way, in addition to delivering the medicine where necessary, the pill can also measure the temperature inside the body. And transmit the received data wirelessly.
According to Philips, smart pills are ready for industrial production.
PS
Dear, apparently, it will turn out a pill ... Interestingly, maybe the iPill is designed for reusable use? If so, then it leaves the body naturally, and nothing else.
- Mom, mom, I got a tablet.
- Well, son, wash it and put it on a shelf.
