Geomancing or "wherever I want to be there"
I have been looking for people with a special plan for a long time - those who can afford to live and earn money anywhere, thanks to Internet technologies. Of course, with reservations, visas, family, etc., this will not be allowed to be fully realized. I mean the lack of communication of geographical location and source of finance. That is, if I want to go to another country for 2-4 weeks, dump for a week, a second in Komarovo, and at the same time all the important processes for my financial independence will not stop.
Of course, it can be argued that any more or less successful startup is such a person, but this is 100% incorrect. I myself wanted to become so independent, and from my own experience I felt that a startup connects you with geography, as in principle, any day job:
- if the startup is legally framed and if you are the CEO, then you need to work with papers and “manage the team”, and most likely investors will keep you on a short leash so that you are within the range of access.
- if you are a programmer, a designer in a startup, you also need to be in the same place for the operational solution of problems. Yes, Skype conferences help, but again, most likely without having an excellent background, investors will also ask to be always in place. And the startups' salaries are not so reasonable for a full life abroad.
The question arises: who is this person who can receive money and live where he wants, to leave the country whenever he wants. The following images formed in my head:
1. Freelancerwith a very large customer base, experience, portfolio, which is constantly loaded and can be located anywhere. In my experience, freelancers do not have a stable high income, either empty or very thick. But the scenario is quite real.
2. The blogger . A person, the media on his feet, can post from anywhere and with anything. There are such people who maintain their blog and get good money for the simple reason that blogs are quite difficult to monetize and require a lot of time. This option is also possible
3. Owner of his own business, site, project (or several) generating a stable income. Income sites can simply be bought. For example, dozens of sites with small and medium incomes are sold on digitalpoint.com, the price of a site varies from income multiplied by 6-18 months, or just bargain. In theory, you can buy such sites up to the necessary 2-5 thousand dollars per month and not be tied to geography. I'm really sure that the content of 10-50 sites is a huge hemorrhoid. On the other hand, buying sites of the same topic, you thereby strengthen their position and income. The option is possible
I would like to know if there are people among you or your friends who have received geographical freedom thanks to the Internet, maybe there are also some other possibilities besides those listed.
