Netbooks HP Mini 1000. Officially

Yesterday, HP introduced its new Mini 1000 netbooks to the public. Three models at once. They are positioned, which is not surprising, as are devices optimized for access to the Internet. Worthy things. Both externally and in its filling. On board netbooks are the 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270, a widescreen LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels, a webcam, and a microphone. Interestingly, HP managed to shove a keyboard into the netbook form factor, which is only 8% (by area) smaller than the keyboard of ordinary laptops.

The most popular model of the HP Mini 1000 is equipped with 512 MB of RAM (can be ordered with 1 GB), two USB ports, Ethernet adapters, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In addition, HP will soon release its upgrade with 3G support. The buyer can choose different models: with 8-, 9- and 10.2-inch display. You can also change the HDD (60 GB) to SSD (from 8 to 16 GB). The machine runs on Windows XP.

The slightly cheaper HP Mini 1000 MIE (Mobile Internet Experience) offers fewer options, but instead comes with Linux with a graphical user interface developed by HP and a pre-installed set of software for working on the Internet.

Another model - the HP Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition - is an image product. It features a bright red case with floral patterns. The ladies should like it. This product comes only with a 10.2-inch display, and on the one-to-one filling it repeats the Mini 1000.

Prices for new HP netbooks, in principle, do not bite. The HP Mini 1000 in the US costs $ 399, and the Mini 1000 MIE costs $ 379. For bright colors Mini 1000 Vivienne Tam Edition will have to pay a larger amount - $ 699. But they, design decisions, always cost more than ordinary “workhorses”.
