I just got a new iGoogle page that supports expanding widgets to the full screen of the Google homepage and has a navigation bar on the left for quick access to all gadgets.
As it turned out , Google had planned this event for a long time , and such a Google homepage could be used before others. Google thoroughly prepared for this event and released an updated GReader gadget that supports full-screen development (canvas view).
In addition, there are already many other "improved" gadgets . Now those users who are uncomfortable to keep GMail and GReader windows open separately can not leave one pageuse them.
Also, in the innovations they promised to add a GTalk contact list in the left panel, but I did not notice it in myself :(
