Weborama announces Inline Player

After the launch of the pilot version of the Webrama, we gathered enough information about what would be useful to our users. And I would like to start announcing key, in my opinion, innovations.

The first thing we tried to revise is the symbiosis of text and music. Now, for introducing music into the text, “widgets” are used, which are made on flash. But widgets have a problem. They, as a rule, break the narrative, thereby forcing them to design songs as footnotes. And it’s never webdannol. The guys from the Design Bureau of Artem Gorbunov proposed a player concept that solves this problem. In their vision, any link to a song on a webrama is actually a player. And you can listen to it right away, without leaving the line of the narrative. As programmers to some extent, we decided to call this concept “Inline Player”.

Before demonstrating how this works, I am forced to make a digression. The fact is that the integration of such functionality requires support from the server. Thus, in order for the links to turn into players, you need to connect JavaScript to the site. Naturally, not every social network will decide on this.

Realizing this, we made another version of the script. This option is connected via GreaseMonkey or as a user script in Opera.

In general, download the user script from the official site and look at the result:
The collections included unpublished songs on the albums, for example Dancing In The Streets , My Friend Jack , as well as many elongated versions of famous singles hits.

As you can see, the script adapts the player to the color palette on which the text is located. The only thing that stands out is the control buttons. Made specifically to show that following a link and playing back are different actions.

PS If you suddenly wanted to introduce player support at the level of your service, then download the server version .

PPS Published in Web development, as it has not yet found a better place. I will be glad to advise where this post is more logical to place.
