Over the past month , almost 8 thousand new entries were posted in SMSter , and we sent out 60 thousand SMS notifications. In addition, many new functions appeared there, the most interesting of which are read below:
1. Now each SMStera user has karma . However, unlike karma on Habrahabr, karma on SMSter is entirely in the user's hands - the more posts and comments he publishes, the more friends he invited and the more users added to his friends or subscribed to his channels - the higher karma. The more karma, the higher the user in the ranking and the more SMSter’s features are available to him.
2. SMSter.ru has a system of encouraging interesting entries. By clicking on the “liked” link, the user recommends this entry to his friends (they fall into their “Interesting” feed). The more users liked the record, the higher the karma of its author.
3. Now you can search on SMSter.ru not only other users, but also their records, even if the search word or phrase is in the response to the message! It has also become easier to find the channel of interest - the search works by the names and descriptions of the channels.
4. Following the placement of preview images, we added the ability to receive messages with photos via MMS . Thus, SMStere can now conduct its mobile photo blog. You can also send messages using regular email.
5. And, perhaps, the most noticeable change: actions appeared in the entry field of the record . We write to SMSter.ru about what is happening to us, what surprises us , interests us , what we think , observe , want , love or hate , where we were , where we are or will be .
Now in WEB- and WAP-interfaces you can start your message with one of these actions and it will be marked with a special color tab - this will help to navigate your and other people's posts, and will make using SMSter more vivid and interesting :)
