Two-way Google Calendar Sync with Kontact KDE
It is based on habratopika from where actually learned about the wonderful utility GCALDaemon. Many thanks ColdFlame
Download the utility itself.
Installation is quite simple. The contents of the archive are copied to / usr / local / sbin, the rights are set: Everything, you can proceed with the configuration. Tab - HTTP synchronizer, click Google account. File synchronizer tab - turn on synchronization, New button - add calendars, and remember (specify a new) path to the synchronization file. Do not forget to register /usr/local/sbin/GCALDaemon/bin/standalone-start.sh in startup. In the calendar, specify the new source file, prescribe the path. Hooray, everything works)
As a bonus, search in your Gmail address book from KAddressBook.
On a Kontact machine - KAddressBook - Setup - LDAP Directories - New Server. We write 127.0.0.1, “OK”. Now from the address book search in the Gmail book is available as in the LDAP directory.
Successfully used at work (OpenSUSE) and at home (Kubuntu) /
