Anime lovers will understand what is at stake, and for those who are not in the know, anime is Japanese animation, manga is Japanese comics.
First of all, this is a thematic tracker that combines many sections, ranging from just “Anime”, “Manga” to games, live action games, j-music. And, of course, hentai - where would it be without him ... :)
I know even a few of these trackers in Russia, but still nothing has happened in the Ukrainian segment of the Internet. We can say, catch up. Despite the fact that the server is located in Kiev, there are no restrictions on the territorial affiliation of users.
At the design stage, like everyone who has ever opened torrent trackers, I encountered the problem of choosing the platform on which the system will work. If we consider more or less formed and logically complete solutions, then we have the following situation: on the one hand, there are trackers written in C (for example, XBT - xbtt.sourceforge.net ) + binding to the IPB forum (it seems that there are other forums but did not find normal). The solution is good and fast, but requires a long sharpening and adjustment.
On the other hand there is TorrentPier (http://torrentpier.info), based on the second generation phpBB forum. This solution is slow (in terms of speed), bony, but fast (in terms of installation), quite simple and convenient to use and maintain. For lack of time, the choice was made towards the second option.
In the future, when the load on the server will be large, it is planned to switch to another platform. Therefore, I am still in search of successful solutions. Can someone tell me something based on their experience?
