Windows 2008 Server RDP signing
Yesterday, I had to deal with the need to create a signed RDP connection file. Used the
standard utility RdpSign . The signed file has stopped working. I went to Google, found a wonderful link: www.tech-archive.net/Archive/Windows/microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services/2008-06/msg00063.html
Briefly: after adding a signature, the file is saved incorrectly, unicode- is not written to the file heading. (2 byte “unicode header” (0xFF, 0xFE).) Fix - open the created file in notepad, and save it.
Maybe someone will be useful.
Lyrical digression - it took me 3 hours ...
The second link is from June 4, today, July 12. I put 2008 at home and updated it - the bug is really not fixed.
