"The workforce of the new generation" - those with 7+ gadgets

The analytical company IDC conducted a study of the communication culture among office workers in 17 countries and identified the so-called “hyperconnect”, which is inherent in an increasing number of people. Those who use at least seven devices and nine communication applications fall under the definition of “hyper-connected”. These devices and applications include mobile and landline phones, computers, laptops, PDAs, pagers, car communication systems, email programs, IM messengers, twitter, social networks, blogs, forums, online games. It's hard to believe, but some people manage to use all of the above at the same time. And these were not only a few, but already 16% of all the employees surveyed.

Unlikepsychiatrists , analysts from IDC do not consider such people to be mentally ill, but on the contrary - call them "the work force of the new generation." They also note that in the “hyper-legitimate” world, the distinction between personal and working life is being erased, because gadgets and applications are used the same there and there (in the future, employees may well hold meetings via Facebook or Odnoklassniki websites). This trend must be taken into account by the developers of IT tools, as well as the creators of information security systems.
