    User Interface
    Full-text history search is now part of the address field, with better results and performance.

    Added alternative tab behavior. Now the following options are presented for working with tabs when they are closed:

    Activate the first tab opened from the current
    A new spatial navigation control, similar to that used in Opera Mini 4 and the browser for Wii.

    Hotkeys
    Ctrl + Left and Ctrl + Right for Back and Forward actions are now applicable not only for Mac, but also in Windows / Unix.
    The Ctrl + S shortcut for Save Draft has been deleted due to the new autosave of the drafts (the change is not so new, but it was not mentioned earlier in the documents).
    The combination for “Add Attachment” in the message creation window is now Ctrl + O instead of Ctrl + S.
    The combination Ctrl + Enter now sends a message, in addition to Ctrl + Shift + S.
    The control of the “Delete” action in the view of the mail filters has been changed - Shift + Del for “Move to Trash” and Del for “Remove from the filter view”, all this instead of Ctrl + X.
    The combination for “Copy Tab” is deleted.
    The combination for “Restore closed tab” has been changed from Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Z to Ctrl + Shift + T.

    Mail, Chat, and News Feeds
    IMAP improved and reliability.

    ACID3
    Zero bytes in encodeURIComponent and encodeURI are correctly processed.
    Unicode escapes are no longer used to insert non-identifier characters in identifiers.
    Iframes getSVGDocument is now supported.
    createDocumentType now throws an exception for malformed qualified name.
    Fixed: NodeFilter returning true => 1.
    Fixed: HTMLTableRowElement.rowIndex and .sectionRowIndex returning undefined for table rows created via DOM.
    HTMLButtonElement.type now defaults to "submit".
    Fixed: form control collection not indexed by name when outside the main document tree.
    Fixed: Range.surroundContents ().
    Fixed: insertNode to not collapse range.
    Fixed: removeNamedItem () and removeNamedItemNS () to throw a not-found error.
    Fixed: NodeIterator to function well also under dynamic changes.
    Fixed: Date.UTC () to do proper 1900 year offsetting.

    Other
    The entire history and mail search is now a separate process.
    Opera Link now syncs notes in addition to the bookmarks and cells of the Express panel.
    The new search.ini contains Google Images and Wikipedia search engines.
    Improved compatibility with Gmail 2.
    Security
    A new version of anti-fraud protection has been implemented, now it is enabled by default.
    Added support for Extended Validation (EV) certificates.
    Added automatic renewal of root certificates.
    A new security warning system has been introduced in the address field: a
    golden lock on a green field - for secure sites with Extended Validation certificates a
    silver lock on a yellow field - for simple safe sites
    a question mark on a gray field - for HTTPS-sites with problems
    no warnings - for normal
    fraud warning sites on a red background - for blacklisted sites
    Opera now distinguishes between local servers in localhost, LAN servers and remote Internet servers. Local servers can use remote resources, but not vice versa.
    Windows-specific changes
    Improved rendering performance on web pages requiring intensive graphics.
    Windowless mode for Silverlight 1.1 now works.
