Some clarifications on the RJ45 connector

To educate the public, I would like to give some clarification on the RJ45 type connector.

Many people mistakenly believe that this type of connector is used in Ethernet networks. But this is not true.

In fact, Ethernet networks use an 8P8C type connector .

This can be found here and here .
It is also interesting to go here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RJ45 (pay attention to the title of the article).

    UPD:
See also the Registered Jack standard.

    UPD2:
A little more evidence (eng., Thanks for the link thanks Auren )

    UPD3:
    I think that I formulated it most correctlyk_s :
RJ45 just took root to label all 8P8C cables and connectors, but has nothing to do with them. Wikipedia has a notation table in retail chains and it is written in brackets that, in fact, these notations are incorrect. RJ45 is 8P2C.
