BBC iPlayer: 250K views per day

After the BBC launched the new version of iPlayer in December (I remind you, the service allows you to watch TV programs on BBC channels for free for a limited time after the broadcast), 1 million British watched 3.5 million programs (250 thousand views per day) .

The ratio of online views (streaming) and download is 8: 1 (however, it should be noted that PC users can download programs and watch them online, and for Mac and Linux users only stimulation is available).

Interestingly, about half of the views are on programs that are not in the top 50. The most popular programs are Doctor Who Christmas Special, Top Gear (as I understand them!) And the festive edition of EastEnders.

On his blog, Ashley Highfield, with a remarkable position as Director of Future Media & Technology, wrote that the BBC will consider integrating iPlayer with Apple TV.
