Plan for Windows Mobile 7 = (Multi) touch + gestures with a mobile phone + GUI animation

Windows Mobile 7. SplashLooking at the RSS reader for the night (by the way, I chose FeedDemon, they say it doesn’t lose subscriptions, unlike Thunderbird), it brought the good news - one comrade got a document that describes in detail the planned "chips" of the Windows Mobile 7 operating system. The man writes that the document dated last summer, and implementation details may be different in the final. In general, Microsoft plans to change our “experience” with mobile phones.

You probably already understood from the title that multitouch will be one of the features . But how interesting is not the implementation of multia wheelbarrow, but the fact that the whole GUI will be a “wheelbarrow". Like on the iPhone. Styluses will go retro. I would especially like to note that the source document contains direct links to the Apple iPhone. And this is in the document from MS :).

    Screenshots of the touch interface:

With two screenshots above, MS wants to say and make sure that when the phone is locked, it does not stupidly copy iPhone Slide to unlock, but also add a bit of interactivity for screensaver. Either drawing, or a fun “game” with fish.

    Multitouch

It seems clear here. It’s a bit of an iPhone, but it’s good that the lads are working right away on context menus and copy / paste :)

Another feature in the OS is planned to make exercise gestures - “Gestures with a mobile phone in motion” based on gyroscopes and accelerometers.

    motion gesture

This is how the Media Player-om control might look. Tilt to the right - next song. to the left - prev. “Shake” the phone - you get random :)

In the same manner, you can control the web browser.

Or shake your tube so that it wakes up.

MS plans to revise GUI . For the stones were launched into the garden on this occasion is not enough. It is clear that everything will be controlled through our fingers. Sliding in all 2 axes. The GUI is also coming; it's a static scrollbar :), and plans to add heaps of animation and various transitions.

    New scroll.

Well, for a snack, just a cool GUI in camera mode:
    GUI

    Total:
All this is expected no earlier than 2009. The document says that GUI + OS should be a good confrontation with iPhone. Until 2009, a lot more, and Apple may again be one step ahead.
All pictures are hardly final in the plan of appearance. This is now a fashion for "glass", in a friend in the new year, designers will discover something new.
For other pictures, go to the original. But they are not very informative there.
Plus, the author of the news, asks to understand that desktop like IE and Office 2007 in screenshots are balances. Surely MS is working on this too, but this is not reflected in the document.

PS I ask for the confusion of the material, but this is not my craft :) and at 4:20 a.m. :)
PSS I ask holivarov not to breed. It’s clear that MS wants to catch up with Apple on GUI, and if everything is like iPhone + copy / paste + Office Mobile + SDK, the product may turn out to be good too :) Be objective :)
