Google Earth: Weather Watch

    It turns out that the latest version of Google Earth has an extra layer called Weather. And this means that now anyone can, without getting up from a computer, in real time observe the change in meteorological conditions anywhere in the world.

    Just open the “Layers” tab and find the Weather layer in it.

    Weather “layers”:
    • Сlouds - display of clouds;
      Radar - data programs of the meteorological network of Doppler radars;
    • Conditions and Forecasts - air temperature, and a number of other information (humidity, pressure, wind speed, weather forecast for two days ahead, etc.);
    • Information - Reference information.

    Information on the movement of cloud zones is taken from the servers of the Naval Research Laboratory in Monterey, all other data are taken from the Weather.com meteorological site. This means that there is no doubt that the weather information shown by the Weather layer is reliable.

    In addition, if you follow the Information link and then click on the Download 24-hour clouds animation button, you can dynamically view the cyclone movement over the last day, visually assess the weather situation and predict it for several days ahead.
