Bukakusa.ru - social network flash games



    The other day we launched the Bukakusa.ru project . This is an attempt to create the first social network dedicated to flash games in Russia. The collection is updated by portal users; the place of the game in the general list is determined by the interest of visitors to it.

    The goal of Bukakusa is to collect all the best flash games in one place. A beta version is now working - complex functions such as rating of participants are still under development, but you can already play and add your own games.
    In the future, the hottest news and the most popular toys among users will hang at the top of the game list; other games are searched by tags.

    Now on Bukakus there is a competition for the best author's game. Surely there are geniuses of flash games next to us who have nowhere to apply inspiration. But you will not be full of glory. The author of the best igruha will receive a prize - Playstation 3.



    What is on Bukakusa:

    Piggy bank for toys. The games that users post are available on the personal profile page and in the general collection.
    Blog: the main game blog , where we write about everything related to the topic of games and gambling. It created a separate post where you need to write about bugs found. He works as a book of complaints and suggestions.


    What is still in development, but will work soon:

    • Rating of participants. It consists of the number of added games and their popularity. For designer toys, the rating grows more than for borrowed toys - of course, if they are liked by at least someone other than the author himself.
    • Rating toys. You can put pros and cons to games, so that good games hang at the top of the list, and unworthy ones are thrown into hell.
    • Search by tags. Search by genre, topic, and association.
    • Function I love, I do not like. Games that the user notes as favorites will fall into his personal list - so that you do not have to search every time.
    • The ability to add your favorite game to your blog or post on the site.
    • We will open the main blog and anyone can write about what he cares about in the game world.


    How we did it (Lyrical digression, optional):

    The idea came by itself. Tired of going to three thousand different links to games. I wanted everything to be in one place, for free, simply, without intrusive advertising, and so that games could be searched by subject, and so on - a two-zero scheme in application in flash games. Honestly, we generally like short games more than long ones because they are not addictive. Well, yes, it’s not WoW, but it’s not obligated to anything: there’s nothing to take for half an hour - it shot the aliens, had fun and forgot.




    After much and painful reflection, we decided to write our own engine, and not use the ready-made one (still in doubt). It was in April, in parallel, two of us wrote a diploma (according to Bukakusa, by the way) and defended ourselves, so the process dragged on. And for a long, long time onbukakusa.ru hung a stub: there will be games, the Trinidad team will lose, write letters! After starting the stub, they wrote about Bukakusa on a wonderful blog - blog.geeknews.ru - thanks to its author, he was the first to notice us and write something about us (we wish to successfully launch HickNews ). After that, the attendance of the stub increased from 5 people a day (of which three are authors, hahaha) to 10. Of these, 1-2 left emails. Now we hope that all of them will come to play with us.

    Then by itself, in conversation, the slogan Make Fun Not Work came up - not as a slogan, but as a reminder to ourselves, so as not to bother too much; but we decided that Bukakuse he is very to face. Then they called a friendly illustrator. So the pictures appeared on Bukakus: brain slugs, yeti with a club, a wolf from the ever-memorable game "Electronics", a digger, captain Comic and other celebrities. It was believed that those people who are now fond of flash games do not remember all this hoary antiquity - but we decided not to bother with this. We ourselves remember, and it’s too early to enroll us as starters.




    Launched a competition for copyright games- in the order of intelligence. At first it was planned to launch the site only with a competition. But we decided that it would be dishonest in relation to the average visitor who cannot write games himself. So we completed the engine and launched the “playing beta”.

    Now we are treating bugs at bukakus , adding games, completing functions, waiting for visitors and constructive proposals.
