Companies leave Second Life

Companies that have opened their representations in the Second Life game are starting to leave the virtual world. There are several reasons for this - many residents of Second Life are completely not interested in the commercial offers presented on this market, and in addition, the one-time audience of the game is no more than 40 thousand people.

In particular, the virtual units of Sun Microsystems and Dell have ceased to function, and their "offices" and other companies have closed.

“There is no reason to stay here,” said Brian McGuinness, vice president of Aloft, a hotel business brand at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. At the same time, he acknowledged that being in Second Life gave his company some ideas that could be realized in the real world.
