Mikhail Chabanov set about creating a Russian OS

As it turned out recently, the vast majority of Russians are in favor of creating a Russian operating system. The results of a survey conducted recently on the Mail.ru portal were a revelation: 55% of respondents considered the creation of a Russian OS from scratch reasonable, and another 30% - the creation of their own Linux distribution.

Naturally, the first enthusiasts immediately appeared who were ready to translate the people's will into reality. The launch of a project to write the kernel of the Russian OS was announced by a certain Mikhail Chabanov.

Deputy Viktor Alksnis received a letter from Chabanov and published it on his blog :

    Hello, Victor Imantovich!

Today I wanted to leave a message in your LJ on the topic of creating an initiative group of developers of the Russian OS. Leaving comments anonymously is not allowed, and I do not have my LJ page. Therefore, I decided to send this message to you by e-mail. If you find it necessary, publish it in your journal

    :! urgently! - READ ALL -! urgently!

I propose to get down to business without too much chatter. We will have our own OS only if we start working on it. I am a developer - I live in St. Petersburg. Surely other programmers are reading the blog. I propose to assemble an initiative group of developers of the Russian OS. These people should be interested in developing and doing from the heart. The first step will require experienced software designers.

Anyone who feels the strength to write to: russian-os@mail.ru.

And further. Linus Torvalds alone wrote the kernel for one of the best OS. Really dozens of Russian programmers can not do the same?

    Sincerely. Chabanov Mikhail.
