The new project is aimed at all English-speaking countries and is dedicated to the best global advertising, including the best Russian advertising to increase the prestige of Russia in the eyes of Western advertisers. The site is positioned as an “archive of advertising works”, having at its disposal an extensive encyclopedia of creativity, which was collected over five years on Bright Side.
“The English project has organically grown out of everything that we have done as part of Bright Side for many years. Having gained some experience, we came to the conclusion that our product can be competitive on a global level. The reason for this is in the publication format: we specialize in works, not news. Creative is international, ”says Marat Mukhametov, head of Bright Side .
It is possible that subsequently the agglomeration archive will grow into the online media: “If review articles of the best works are interesting for a daily audience, we will strive for this,” says Marat. - “It’s possible that reading is better on AdAge.comand we have to watch. While we look like blind kittens who have come to a new world: we probe the wishes of the audience. “We are still far from the project from which Frederick Begbeder will cry boiling water.”
Does the project have strong competitors with whom you are going to fight or who are guided by?
Unlike Russia, in the West there are hundreds of advertising projects. An incredible number of sites provides materials on a wide variety of topics - paid and free, major media holdings and single bloggers from Bahrain. The free archives segment is probably the easiest way to take the first steps, being on a different continent from the main target audience. How do you assess the prospects of the project? Let's say what traffic is expected in six months or a year?
Creating a project, we thought that if in China they find out about our site and put a link on some not-so-visited blog with an audience of a couple of million people, we just can’t stand it :) As long as there is a good trend, the project has reached 2,500 views per day for the first week.
