Professor Umnov increased the range of WiFi to 100 km

Intel's Russian unit, with the participation of Professor Alexei Umnov from Nizhny Novgorod State University, has created special equipment and software that can be used to transfer data via a regular WiFi channel up to a hundred kilometers away.

During this year, engineers plan to test a unique system in Uganda (Africa). The back of the controlled electric antenna for this experiment is depicted in the photo below. The rest of the equipment is quite standard for WiFi hotspots.
