The number of video streams on the Internet grew by 38.8%

    Video streams appealed to Internet users: in 2006 their number (streams, of course) increased by 38.8% and amounted to almost 25 billion. This was reported by the research company AccuStream iMedia Research, which collected information from entertainment and media sites, including how free , and subscription (i.e. paid) services.

    The most active suppliers of video content were (despite a decrease in interest in them) music sites - they accounted for 22% of the total number of streams.
