    • Nfs
    • NTFS
    Changes in details

After a few minor corrections, NetPositive began to show the first signs of (network) life under Haiku. After patches in the network stack that resolve performance issues, IPv4 and ICMP should make money faster. NetServer now starts at boot.

Owners of SATA drives should thank Marcus. He began work on the AHCI module. At the moment, the module is already present in the default Haiku experimental images and can detect connected SATA drives. In addition, BGA added hardware cache reset support for Haiku SCSI devices, based on its previous work for yellowTab.

After a lot of corrections made by Michael Lotz, the USB stack should become more stable to use. Disconnecting and reconnecting devices should no longer cause a stack crash, as drivers are notified of these events.

GoogleFS has been ported from BeOS to Haiku. Using the usual file search for queries on Google will allow you to create many original applications.

Among other new products, it is worth noting the porting of nfs to Haiku. Although the support for mounting does not work yet, but the development is quite active and soon this feature will appear.

And the last one. Thanks to Troeglazov Gerasim, support for the NTFS file system was ported to Haiku (the ntfs-3g implementation was used as the basis). So now there is the ability to work with Windows drives. Note that recording support is currently disabled for reasons of data security.
