Warner Music Group and Last.fm have signed an agreement that will allow users of the music social network to access the music archives of one of the largest record labels in the world, Reuters reports .
New music will be available first for American, and then - for European Last.fm users.
The Warner Music Group is not afraid of a reduction in sales, which is quite reasonable: at Last.fm, the tracks will be available only for listening - through the web interface and a special program. And the head of Last.fm Ltd. Martin Styxel says the company is negotiating with the rest of the "majors" for such a collaboration.
