TechCrunch will hold its own startup conference

Michael Arrington, founder of TechCrunch tech blog and its permanent author, announced the organization of the TechCrunch20 conference , where internet startups who couldn’t find a place (or simply didn’t want to participate because of crowding) could find their place on DEMO.

Arrington writes that the cost of participation in a DEMO conference is from several thousand to tens of thousands of dollars, while he personally is not very clear about the benefits that startups themselves can benefit from, whose owners may not have money (in which case they won’t get to the conference and nobody will ever know about them). For participation in TechCrunch20 you will not have to pay anything, however, startups will be invited there in the amount of only 20 pieces.

TechCrunch20 will be held this fall, and the selection of participants (based on recommendations from experts, journalists, analysts and businessmen) will be carried out by a special commission.
