Synterra connects Moscow schools to WiMAX network

    By the end of 2006, Synterra intends to provide WiMAX Internet access for 90 Moscow schools - these plans are being implemented as part of the national Education project. By the end of the 2nd quarter of 2007, 128 educational institutions of Moscow will be connected to the Synterra WiMAX network, reports Prime-TASS . Being an authorized representative of the general contractor of the national project, RTKomm.Ru, the Synterra operator organizes dedicated VPN channels with a data transfer rate of 128 Kbps.

    Recall that the implementation of the program "Education" allocated 3 billion rubles from the state budget. According to the program, 52,940 Russian schools and other educational institutions should receive access to the Network by the end of 2007. Until the end of 2006, about 18 thousand schools will be connected, and in 2007 - another 34.94 thousand.
