The Diocesan Council of the Belarusian Orthodox Church recommended that Priest Alexander Shramko leave his activities on the Internet and “concentrate his efforts on shepherding, ” Komsomolskaya Pravda - Belarus reports . Dissatisfaction was caused by the entries in the Live Journal of Father Alexander - they, according to the church, did not correspond to the high rank of the Orthodox priest.
In particular, they condemned the thoughts of Father Alexander about such a thing as civil marriage: judging by the priest’s notes, made, as he admitted, “on emotions”, it could be concluded that the church approves premarital relations. Father-blogger was called for a “joint conversation” and, apparently, after him deleted his account on LiveJournal.com. According to church representatives, parishioners pointed out the mistakes of Father Alexander.
