I.UA has launched a blogging service.
Ukrainian startup
made its users a present for the old New Year and opened its blog hosting. (Although it was possible to get into it last year, it was added to the menu of the site on January 10, and today they sent invitations to all mail users.)
Deciding to test, I registered in it. The results of the experiment can be found here .
First impressions are twofold. The advantages include simplicity, convenience, the ability to insert not only pictures, but also sound, a convenient WYSIWYG editor. There are already familiar ratings, labels, ratings, tag cloud (where without it :)) avatars, friends' feed, favorites. Of the features - sexual segregation, as in dating services, the possibility of background sound, audio comments.
Among the shortcomings, I want to note the complete lack of themes and design management capabilities, lack of support for HTML tags, statistics, an abundance of advertising, and the absence of many features that have already become familiar on other services.
The users of the service so far are mainly defectors from the bigmir.net portal, from which, by the way, I.UA developers also left last year.
The service, like everything new, is a bit buggy, but the authors are very experienced developers and soon, I hope, will bring it in perfect order. And although with its rather modest capabilities it will be of interest to novice bloggers rather, for Ukraine, where this phenomenon is still not very common, it will be very useful.
We wish the creators of the service and its users creative success so that a good interesting community is formed on it. Good luck to you!
