VRD Z4 Virtual Reality Helmet

The VRDevice team updates the versions of prototypes developed by virtual reality helmets.
The basic version of the device model for developers is now codenamed VRD Z4 and comes with integrated headphones.

    VRD Z4

Like previous models, VRD Z4 has a wired USB and HDMI connection to a PC, which allows you to display an image with a resolution of 1920x1080 / 2560x1440 and a frequency of up to 60 Hz. In addition, the helmet is now equipped with integrated headphones:

Aspherical lenses with a diameter of 39 mm are used in the helmet, it is possible to adjust the center and focal length of the lenses.
Headphones sound from 20 Hz to 20 KHz, and the viewing angle in the helmet can reach 120 degrees. All this further increases the level of immersion in games and 3D applications.

Compared to conventional virtual reality glasses based on a smartphone, this solution has several advantages. Here are some of them:
    • There is no need to constantly place and remove the smartphone during and after using the helmet.
    • The smartphone is always available for calls, sms, chat, etc.
    • Excessive overheating, rapid discharge of the phone and premature failure of the battery due to increased load and discharge / charge cycles do not occur.
    • When compared with the middle class phones (and even the iPhone 6), FPS in games is much more stable and the picture is smoother, which is very important for more complete immersion of VR and minimizing side effects (fatigue, nausea).
    • The ability to view content with a level of quality close to cinematic.
    • The ability to use the helmet for the development of PC and console games with high-quality graphics in Unity, Unreal Engine, etc.
    • Compatible with STEAM and Oculus Rift platforms.

As in previous versions, VRD Z4 has a Plus modification with a resolution of 2560x1440 and sets for self-assembly.
