On the hellomotoHK page, there were renderers of the new Moto X smartphones, and in December 2015 a live snapshot of the prototype of one of them was published in VentureBeat. In a snapshot of the Vertex smartphone published in December 2015, a strong redesign of the new Moto X line device is seen. If the lineup previously had rounded back covers and various panels, the new device received a steel case. A huge camera lens is striking the eye and a slice in the lower part reminds of a Moto 360 watch.

The Vertex model will receive a 5.5-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, Quallcomm Snapdragon 625, 16 GB built-in with 2 GB of RAM or 32 GB built-in with 3 GB of RAM. The camera is 16 megapixel with laser focus. Battery - 3500 mAh.

On the images you need to pay attention to the 16 holes on the back walls of the devices. These are not speakers, but contacts for securing additional panels. According to VentureBeat, Moto has already prepared six such modules, called "Amps". One module will be supplied with smartphones, but the most interesting ones will have to be purchased separately.
