SmartMail Conf: First Mail.ru Machine Learning Mail Conference

On March 23, our office will host the first professional conference from Mail.ru Mail developers - SmartMail Conf. It will be devoted to the use of machine learning technologies in highly loaded services. Machine learning is one of our priorities, and it is used, for example, in Mail.ru Mail to classify emails, protect against spam, sort mailings, highlight important emails, use Smart Reply technology and other tasks.

The main program of the conference will include technical reports by the Mail.ru Mail development team on natural language processing, computer vision and training models to combat spam.

An important topic of the conference will be computer vision and methods of its application in various services: from recognizing sights on images in the Mail.ru Cloud to finding people in the video stream, which is studied by the Mail.ru business unit.

Also at the conference, developers will talk about continuing education of anti-spam models on an ongoing basis and the SmartReply function in Mail.ru. You will also learn how difficult it is to adapt machine learning technologies to work with highly loaded services.

Applied use of machine learning is not forgotten: how computer vision technologies are used in real devices. In 2018, Mail.ru Group introduced the Vision service for events, allowing you to find photos from an event to capture a face. The developers will tell you how to integrate this technology into a variety of gadgets, video surveillance systems and promotional zones.

After the conference, you can chat on topics of interest to you in an informal setting.
