As a mom, it’s always been somehow restless for me to leave my laptop to my children, because in search of some kind of cartoon or something, by entering a word into the search engine, of course, the content might come out well, not really for the children's eye. And now, a new Kiddle search engine has recently appeared, which should protect the content that is viewed by children. Google Safe Search is built into this “search engine”; the work of this search engine is to “filter” adult content.

For general information - such a search engine was registered back in 2014. It is “outwardly” similar to the Google search engine, it just replaced the traditional white background with the background of a “cosmic” nature and a character appears - a funny robot, search queries are displayed in this order - first sites that are written specifically for children (1-3 lines search, filtered by Kiddle editors), then adult safe sites for children with child-friendly content (4-7 lines, filtered and sorted by Kiddle editors), then adult safe sites with information that might be difficult for a child to understand I (filtered by Google safe search).

The system blocks such words as “sex”, “homo-heterosexuality”, “suicide”, “murder”, “lesbians”, “gays”, but! at the same time, such "suicide", "FGM" are available. In the English version of the article, the authors still assured that the search engine did not produce results when entering the name of the famous actress “Pamela Anderson” ... apparently the written name of the same actress in Cyrillic still doesn’t destroy the vulnerable psyche, because I got two results.
It is known that in February a new YouTube mobile application for the Android operating system appeared, which also allows you to secure the content / information available to children. The YouTube Kids app, this works regardless of the main YouTube service. Parents can set a timer to watch the same cartoons, programs, and limit the time. The application is designed for small users - large buttons, pictures in full screen. The application has lists and channels (shows, training, music, discoveries).
