Porsche built the first electro-solar column

The Porsche automaker has announced the completion of the first solar energy gathering pillar. The 25-meter column, located at the construction site of the future Berlin-Adlershof Porsche car center in Germany, is capable of delivering up to 30 MWh per year. The column is equipped with 7776 solar panels. It will be used to power the complex and free charge electric visitors.
Auto Center will open in 2017. Porsche’s pillar construction is one of the first steps in developing renewable energy and emphasizes the company's interest in electric vehicles. At the same time, Porsche has no plans regarding the development of robomobiles - a rather popular topic among other automakers. As noted in the interviewOliver Blum, Chairman of the Board of Directors, “Porsche is the car you want to drive yourself.”
But the company announced that the first electric car from Porsche, "Mission E", will appear before the end of this decade. The company will invest a billion euros in the development of new technologies needed to create a car.
