Perimeter Guard: Skizel vs. Skynet

    Intruder detection tool on the Gyurza-035PZ perimeter is installed on any type of fence: gratings, nets, brick, concrete, wood. Moreover, the configuration and shape of the perimeter do not matter.

    System design



    The system consists of a signal processing unit:

    A TPPep cable modification is used as a sensitive element. Cable TPPep - telephone cable with polyethylene insulation. Conducting residential cable is a soft copper wire in polyethylene insulation.

    The cable is laid along the guarded fence: The

    cable can first be laid on a mesh fence, and then switch to reinforced concrete. Only Gyurza can do this. If other systems were used, a separate sensor would be required for each type of barrier.


    The cable is laid in one or more lines along the fence. Cable length up to 500 meters is allowed.

    Principle of operation


    When the terminator of the intruder climbs through the fence, it is deformed.

    Small deformations are transmitted to the cable at the attachment points. A 0.1 mm offset is sufficient so that the static charge arising from the friction of the core insulation can be detected by the signal processing unit.



    By adjusting the position and the number of voltage nodes (knitting wire, firmly fixing the cable), false alarms can be reduced to zero without loss of detection ability.

    With proper initial adjustment, the system does not give false positives from people passing by and passing cars. As well as in contact with birds and small animals (cats, dogs).

    But impacts of more than 20 kg, such as an attempt to cut the net, bend the grate, punch metal sheets, will be guaranteed to be fixed.



    Benefits

    It should be noted the possibility of integrating Gyurza-035PZ into any information collection and processing system.
    Its output is the so-called dry contact - roughly speaking, this is a simple relay that opens when an alarm occurs. This is a common way to connect sensors to remotes in security complexes, for example, such as Bolid and Rubezh.

    Technology


    The principle of operation of "Gyurza. Perimeter" is that when it is mechanically exposed to a fence, it deforms. These deformations are transmitted to the sensing element (TPPep cable). In the cable, small displacements and friction between the conductors and insulation lead to the appearance of charges (electrification by friction). With a small deformation, these will be only units of elementary charges, but the unique circuit of the charge amplifier allows even them to be detected. In reality, it is possible to determine such insignificant effects as vibration from a person or animal passing near a protected fence. Of course, this will cause permanent false positives, so the system is configured to apply forces of about 7 kg to the fence.



    I tested the system on sections of the trellis fence in the SKIZEL demo zone, and all attempts to “bend” the rods, pull the fence and the like were successfully detected (a siren came on, an audible warning was heard). This is really impressive, especially when you understand the principle of the system. It does not fit in my head, as the small force that does not cause any visible deformations can be detected by Gyurza.

    Simulation of aging


    Over time, the electronic components of the circuits “age”, change their properties - this leads to disruption of performance. In security equipment this cannot be allowed and manufacturers limit their life to three to five years. How did SCIZEL achieve a lifetime of 20 years?

    The simplest, but also the most effective way is to simulate the aging of a circuit through heating. Schemes are spent in the oven for several hours at high temperature, after which their characteristics no longer change with time. The characteristics obtained after the “procedure” are enough for the device to work well for more than twenty years.

    It is because of this that the manufacturer can claim such a long service life and give such an impressive guarantee.
