Slidenjoy - additional monitors for laptop

Recently I came across a project with a great idea - compact portable screens for laptops. 1 or 2 additional monitors, promise to connect with just one wiring USB-3.

Asking for € 300,000, already raised € 282.356. Of these, € 250,000 for the first 3 days.

Dimensions (visible part):
13 ": 294mm x 165mm
15": 345mm x 194mm
17 ": 382mm x 215mm

Resolution: FullHD (1920 x 1080px) for all sizes
Matrix type: IPS
Response time: 5ms
Frequency: 60 Hz
Weight of one screen : ~ 50-100 gr , depending on the selected size.
Brightness: 350cd / m² (A higher value was possible, but this was chosen on purpose, since a higher brightness is the main energy consumer)
Contrast: 1000: 1
Windows & Mac friendly.

In the comments on the project, a certain Nic J Muller claims to be the holder of a patent for such a design.

In response to my questions, the authors of the project answered the following:
Q. What about the patents? Dude writes something about it in the comments.
A. In fact, he does not have a patent. If you check, there is no date, no patent number ... We checked this before starting the project and spent a lot of time checking. We would not spend so much time on the project and assume such a responsibility ...

Q. What about nutrition? AFAIK USB-3 does not provide as much power, especially for dual displays. Please provide exact numbers.
ABOUT.Power and video signal are via USB-3. We use this connection for prototypes from the very beginning. This is the basis of our project. We would not have started all this if it did not work;) Screens do not require so much energy ... Especially IPS panels, which are one of the least expensive types of displays.

Q. What about the video connection? Does it go through the same USB port, or uses a wireless connection? It is very important.
A. Power and data go through the same wiring if it is USB-3. If you have USB-2, you will need to connect to two ports at once

Fastening to a laptop is supposed in two ways:
A. 4 magnets glued to the laptop cover (included)
B. magnetic laptop case (must be purchased separately)

Plus, as far as the video can tell, the kit comes with a special stand so that the laptop screen does not tilt under the weight of Slidenjoy.

The minimum price for a configuration with one screen is € 199, with two - € 299.
Sending devices is promised in December 2015. The

ps is banned Premium Twins, € 449.
