Introducing DJI Mavic Air

An ultra-portable drone with a 3-axis stabilized camera that shoots in 4K resolution, SmartCapture, Flight Autonomy 2.0 systems and advanced autopilot.

Today, DJI introduced the new Mavic Air quadrocopter - an ultra-portable folding drone with a camera, new intellectual capabilities and functions, and previously not available in other drones from DJI.

This model is primarily aimed at travel lovers. Therefore, this model presents the best features of the legendary DJI Mavic Pro series , such as a 4K camera, the new QuickShot and SmartCapture modes for convenient and efficient photo and video shooting, as well as the new FlightAutonomy 2.0 system with advanced autopilot for safe flight. Mavic Air is a true marvel of engineering and design that expands the possibilities for research, wherever you are.

    Portability and power

The 430g Mavic Air is DJI's most portable drone. Folding beams and propellers fit snugly along the aerodynamic body. Thanks to this, when folded, the drone is no more than a modern smartphone.

Every detail of the Mavic Air camera has been designed for maximum efficiency. A reinforced three-axis suspension is mounted on shock absorbers to reduce vibration, improve protection and improve image quality. Camera with a 1 / 2.3 ”CMOS sensor, f / 2.8 aperture with a focal length of 24 mm (35 mm EGF) for high-quality photo and video shooting. The camera allows you to take clear pictures with an image of 12 megapixels using the new HDR algorithms, which retain more details in each photo at any time of the day, from dawn to dusk.

Mavic Air also shoots smooth, stabilized video at 4K resolution and 30 frames / s. With a maximum bit rate of 100 Mbps, it has the highest video quality among all DJI consumer drones. The camera supports slow-motion shooting with a frequency of 120 frames / s, which allows you to save any movement in dynamic high-speed scenes with a resolution of 1080p.

In addition, the Mavic Air is the first DJI drone with an additional microSD card slot and 8 GB of internal memory, so users can save photos and videos directly to the drone during flight. The new USB-C port also simplifies the export of captured images.

    Expand Your Creativity

Mavic Air's new intelligent shooting modes provide new opportunities for novice pilots. Now you can capture the surroundings with the smallest details, using the Sphere function to automatically capture and combine up to 25 photos into a crystal clear panorama image with a resolution of 32 megapixels. Mavic Air also supports several panoramic modes, allowing you to create horizontal, vertical and 180-degree shots.

You can create short videos thanks to QuickShot's fast shooting modes: Rocket, Dronie, Circle and Helix, as well as 2 new modes, Asteroid and Boomerang.

In Asteroid mode, the drone flies back and up, taking a spherical panorama at the end of the route.
In Boomerang mode, the drone flies around the object along an oval path with a slope, while shooting ends at the starting point.

ActiveTrack Intelligent Flight Mode Mavic Air drone now automatically detects multiple objects at once. Due to the increased accuracy and a wider range of working scenarios, your subject will always be in the frame, regardless of whether he is running or riding a bicycle.

New SmartCapture shooting mode. This is a shooting mode with ultra-fast response, based on machine learning technology, which greatly simplifies photo and video shooting. At a distance of up to 6 meters, you can issue commands with gestures, for example, to start, track, photograph, record, move, land, to get a picture from any angle without a remote control.

    More efficient and safer flight

Thanks to its powerful processor and optimized algorithms, Mavic Air flies more efficiently and safely, avoiding all obstacles and terrain. FlightAutonomy 2.0 processes data from seven onboard cameras and infrared sensors to create a 3D environment map for more accurate route planning. Advanced visibility systems with dual front and rear cameras detect obstacles up to 20 meters away. To navigate in a space with a lot of obstacles in the drone, Mavic Air uses an advanced autopilot, which helps to fly around obstacles automatically, which provides additional protection during the flight.

The control panel is equipped with removable joysticks that are stored in the remote control itself.

The maximum flight time of the Mavic Air is 21 minutes. It can fly stably in windy conditions up to 36 km / h and at altitudes up to 5000 m above sea level (the actual lift height is limited to 500 meters from the take-off point).

Omni-directional antennas are placed on a folding chassis, which expands the signal reception area up to 4 km (in open space, without interference), and allows you to broadcast video with a resolution of 720p in real time during flight using the control panel.

In Sport mode, the Mavic Air drone accelerates to 68.4 km / h. DJI Goggles first-person flight goggles are

    supported .
