Moscow JS 40 - report, guest reviews and videos
Hello! We did not have time to look around how all offline places on Moscow JS 40 , which took place in our office on March 1, ended . Not everyone had time to sign up. Good news: videos and presentations from speakers have already appeared. Under the cut - videos, presentations, links to a photo report and feedback from listeners.
The meeting participants spoke about the motivation and difficulties of creating a screenshot service for web pages, discussed the developer experience and flow, dealt with AST parsers and conducted an excursion into computer linguistics.
Screenshots as a service Sergey Melyukov, Avito
Sergey talked about creating a screenshot service for web pages based on headless chrome and puppeteer. On the video - the history of rake walking, search for options and inspiration
Reviews:
- A good report on solving an interesting problem.
- It would be interesting to see this in open-source as soon as possible.
How to start using AST. Ivan Strelkov, Avito
Together with Ivan, AST parsers dealt with and made sure that their use is not rocket science at all. Worth trying!
Reviews:
Good performance, which gave an understanding of AST and what problems and how (with what resources) to carry them out.
DX w / Flow. Alexander Lobashev, Raiffeisen
This report is no longer about Flow, but about how typing helps to safely fumble code between teams, improves work with many components, helps migrate from one version of the UI kit to another.
Reviews:
I was not going to listen to this report, but after it I wanted to try Flow.
JavaScript word processing for dummies. Dmitry Shmakov, Otkritie Bank
Dmitry conducted an excursion into computer linguistics and told how you can use JavaScript to correct errors in words, understand what part of speech they belong to, correctly bow them or how to classify texts among themselves and understand what human language they were written in.
Reviews:
A very concise report, strictly on the case and the implementation of the task, a rather narrow specificity.
We posted the photo report on Facebook .
Thanks to the organizers of the Moscow JS 40 and everyone who came to the meeting, watched the broadcast! Write in the comments which topics you would be interested in discussing. See you soon!
