SuperJob IT-meetup. Work with business requirements at various project scales

SuperJob invites to meetup “Work with business requirements at various scales of the project”. We meet on February 15 in our office on Malaya Dmitrovka.

In continuation of the previous meeting on pre-project work, we will discuss the difference and similarity of opposite cases: work with business architecture and the quick release of a separate feature of the service. We invite system and business analysts, as well as IT project managers, to join the discussion.

At the last meeting we discussed the general principles of working with a pre-project.

This time we will discuss extremes in terms of the time and functional scale of the project:

    • on the one hand, pre-design work in large companies, where the development of a business architecture is required;
    • on the other hand, a short release of a separate feature of the service.

And also discuss the knowledge and modeling practices that are useful in all cases.

    Timing and speakers:

19.00 - 19.40 - Sergey Nuzhnenko darkboatman , leading systems analyst Superjob, co-founder of the School of System Analysis, founder of the System Analysis Laboratory.

Topic: Features of modeling and transition from a business layer of requirements to a system.

Blind mixing of business, system and architectural requirements or solutions is a common mistake in discussing, analyzing, designing and communicating requirements.

We will discuss how not to confuse the layers, how to reflect the relationship between them, why one cannot do without one.

    • Requirement levels
    • Business processes / cases versus system cases
    • Business Class Model vs. Logical System Data Model
    • Features of working with roles
    • Layer Interconnection
    • Collisions of the business level and system level
    • What to do with architectural solutions

19.40 - 20.20 - Natalya Tatarnikova , business architect at Diasoft, 17 years in the design, development and implementation of complex systems in credit and financial organizations.

Topic: Think like an architect. Features of building a business architecture in general and on a pre-project - in particular

Continuing with the topic of requirements analysis at the pre-project or presale stage, I want to talk about the need and features of building a business architecture at this stage of the project. In my report I will reveal the following topics:

    • How does requirements analysis affect business architecture and vice versa?
    • When and why is a pre-project business architecture needed and when not needed?
    • What does a business architect do on a pre-project?
    • Features of architecture, and what does good business architecture mean at this stage?
    • There will be references to real examples from practice and answers to questions.

    20.20 - 21.00 - Arthur Uzbekov Arthurarch , Superjob product manager

Subject: Requirements in the face of uncertainty

On the example of the launch of the service, “Open employer” will tell how the product owner creates the requirements for the product and why they quickly become obsolete.
