    3CX Phone System V15 SP3


    As promised, shortly after the release of 3CX SP2 and the ISO image of 3CX Phone System for Debian Linux, we release V15 SP3. The main change is the opening of the G729 codec on both the server and 3CX clients. From now on, the G729 will be available on the server for all simultaneous calls. And soon we will release an update for 3CX customers, adding the G729 codec to them!


    Attention: If you go to the Licenses section in the 3CX interface, you will still see half the number of G729 channels. Do not pay attention, as the actual number of G729 channels is equal to the number of simultaneous calls .


    Adding enhanced support for the G729 codec solves two important tasks:


    • Allows you to more efficiently host 3CX on a cloud hosting. The G729 has a bandwidth of 8 kbps, which is about 8 times less than the standard G711 codec. Thus, if the traffic on the cloud server is paid, you will get serious savings. The codec also has good resistance to packet delays, which is very important for remote cloud hosting.

    • Saves traffic and improves voice quality on mobile devices. This is especially true when making calls over 3G networks.

    3CX PRO Integration with Insightly CRM


    After the integration with Freshdesk and Nutshell, we introduce the new 3CX integration module with Insightly CRM! It is important to note that this CRM has a free version for two users, which can be used in a small business.


    Using the module, you can integrate the popular CRM Insightly with 3CX Pro, having the following advantages:


    • Click to Call - click-to-call calls on the client number in Insightly. Calls are made by the 3CX software client or a supported IP phone
    • Call Pop-up - a client card in Insightly automatically opens when an incoming call
    • If the caller’s number is not found, the system creates a new contact for the system.
    • Call Journal - all calls are recorded in the Insightly Call Log
