    Azure

    • Increased network performance in Azure by 33-50%. It will be fully implemented in 2016.
    • Released to preview Accelerated Networking. As far as I understand, this is just SR-IOV in Azure. This functionality will be available not only for virtual machines, but for some services (Azure SQL, Azure Storage) when it is fully implemented, no user action is required. For virtual machines .

      image

    • Storage: Azure Queues, Premium Storage API, Recover Deleted Storage Accounts
    • Network: User Defined Routes (similar functionality from Azure), VPN Gateway for communication with Azure (and not only), iDNS (literally: a way to resolve DNS names of virtual machines inside Azure Stack without configuring DNS)
    • Compute: Deallocate virtual machines (like in Azure, just shutting down a virtual machine continues to spend your money, only a deallocated virtual machine costs nothing), resizing disks, several network interfaces, reinstalling VM Extensions.
    • Portal: Regions for compute, network and storage appeared in Azure Stack. Preview updates on the portal.
    • Other: Azure Site Recovery will be available in Azure Stack, Key Vault for keeping secrets, “Billing and consumption APIs” for viewing the relevant data (billing and spending \ consumption), new monitoring options, BlockChain, multimode deployment will only be available when verified iron solutions (HP, Lenovo, Dell).
