Panasonic integrates YouTube and Picasa into its plasma panels

The Panasonic TH-PZ850U flagship plasma panel line now does not require a PC connection.

The “Viera Cast” interface allows you to search YouTube by keyword, sort videos by popularity or enter favorites and view your video. You can also access Picasa, and view photos.

Also, Bloomberg widgets with stock quotes, as well as meteorological information provided by Weather Channel, will be pre-installed on all TVs in this series by default. Surprisingly, Panasonic does not plan to use RSS technology, as it is implemented in the Samsung LN52A650 .

A new line of plasmas will be available in June
    TH-45PZ850U ($ 3099)
    TH-50PZ850U ($ 3499)

Prices for the TH-58PZ850U and TH-65PZ850U have not yet been set.
